Vancouver City Youth League
The Vancouver City Youth League (VCYL), is a dynamic youth basketball program designed to inspire and develop young athletes both on and off the court. Focused on fostering teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship, the VYCL provides a structured environment where players of all skill levels can grow their abilities and confidence. With experienced coaches and a supportive community, the program emphasizes not only athletic achievement but also personal development, ensuring every participant gains valuable life skills through the game of basketball.
Ages
The VCYL provides youth basketball opportunities to a variety of age ranges, with the first session focused on 4th and 5th graders.

Time and Place
Camp on Saturday 1/18, 2/1, and 2/8 will occur from 9:30am - 11:30am at King's Way High School.
Camp on Saturday 1/25 will occur from 11:00am - 12:00pm at Shoot 360 Vancouver.

Camp days at KW include 1 hour of individual skills developement, followed by 1 hour of applying those skills through 3-on-3 gameplay.
Games
The VCYL’s first session introduces a dynamic 3-on-3 game model, offering weekly games designed to create flexible teams rather than fixed ones. This approach promotes balanced competition, ensuring every player enjoys a positive and engaging experience.
- Players will be grouped into teams based on registration or check-in order. Games will be played for a set time or until a score limit is reached. If a game becomes one-sided, teams will be reshuffled to maintain fairness and competitive balance.
Jerseys
The VCYL is proud to partner with Shirts and Skins to provide high-quality branding and jersey materials for our players. Every participant will receive a custom VYCL jersey and short, included in the cost of registration, ensuring they feel like part of the team from day one.
This collaboration reflects our commitment to delivering a professional and cohesive experience for all players on and off the court.
